How many images can I generate?

Each generation costs credits depending on the AI model you pick. Current per-image costs:

  • Nano Banana – 4 credits (most affordable all-round model).
  • Nano Banana 2 Lite – 4 credits (fastest model, available in the image generator).
  • GPT Image 2 – 6 credits.
  • Nano Banana Pro – 18 credits.

Your monthly plan credits:

  • Free – 10 credits every day, reset daily.
  • Starter – 200 monthly credits.
  • Pro – 800 monthly credits.
  • Studio – 3,200 monthly credits.

Every paid plan currently includes the 10 free daily credits on top of its monthly credits – so even on an empty balance you can keep generating every day.

Are my generated images public?
No. Your gallery and generations are private on every plan, including Free.
Can I delete my data?

Yes – on every plan, including Free, your data is always one click away from deletion:

  • One image – tap the trash icon on any image. It moves to the Bin for 30 days (restore it anytime), then it's gone for good – or open the Bin and delete it permanently right away.
  • Everything at once – open the Bin tab in the editor and click “Delete my data”. After a typed confirmation, all your images and your full history are permanently wiped. This works without an account too.
  • With a profile – the same “Delete all my data” control also lives in your profile's danger zone, next to full account deletion (which additionally cancels any active subscription).

Using Photolaria without an account? Your images also expire on their own after 7 days.

Who owns the images I generate?
You do. Photolaria claims no ownership of your generations – everything we have in them is passed to you. See our Terms for what ownership of AI-generated images does and doesn't cover.
Can I use generated images commercially?
Commercial usage rights are included with every paid plan and with purchased credit packs – we place no restrictions on commercial use. The free tier is for personal use only. As with any image, making sure a specific use is lawful is up to you (see Terms).
What happens when my monthly credits run out?

You never fully run dry – every account keeps 10 free daily credits as a safety net, so you can still generate a couple of images each day.

You can also buy a one-time credit pack at any time – no subscription required. Pack credits never expire.

What is the difference between monthly, purchased and daily credits?
  • Monthly credits are included in your plan and refresh every billing cycle – unused ones don't roll over.
  • Purchased credits are one-time credit packs that anyone can buy – no subscription required. They never expire and stay spendable even if a subscription ends. While you hold purchased credits, premium AI models are unlocked too.
  • Daily credits – 10 free credits every day on every plan; guaranteed with an account, and a courtesy in guest sessions.

Spending order: monthly credits first, then purchased credits, and your free daily credits last – a safety net that refreshes every day.

Do I need a subscription to buy credit packs?

No. Credit packs are one-time purchases available to everyone – guests included. If you don't have an account yet, one is created automatically at checkout with the email you enter, and your existing photos come with it.

Pack credits never expire, and while you hold them premium AI models are unlocked. If you create regularly, a subscription is the better deal – subscription credits cost about half as much per credit.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, anytime – you manage it yourself in the Stripe billing portal. What happens to your credits depends on the direction:

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Stripe charges a prorated amount for the rest of your current cycle, and we add credits in proportion to that charge – a partial top-up now, not the full monthly allowance, which arrives at your next renewal.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your current plan and all its credits until then – nothing changes mid-cycle and there's no extra charge. At your next renewal you move to the new plan and your credits reset to its amount.

Either way, only your monthly subscription credits change – your purchased and free daily credits are never affected.

To make the change, in the Stripe billing portal choose Update plan (sometimes shown as “Change plan”), pick your new plan, and confirm. To open the portal:

  • On desktop – click your avatar (the circle with your initial, top-right) → My profile → in the Billing section click Open billing portal.
  • On mobile – tap the menu (☰, top-right) → My profile → in the Billing section tap Open billing portal.
Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime – no questions asked. You cancel it yourself in the Stripe billing portal:

  • On desktop – click your avatar (the circle with your initial, top-right) → My profile → in the Billing section click Open billing portal.
  • On mobile – tap the menu (☰, top-right) → My profile → in the Billing section tap Open billing portal.

In the Stripe portal, choose Cancel plan (sometimes shown as “Cancel subscription”) and confirm.

Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then your account switches to the Free plan. And you lose nothing that matters: you keep your full account on every device, your private gallery with your complete history, 10 free daily credits – and any purchased credits, which stay spendable with no time limit.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. Every new subscription comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee – if Photolaria isn't for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, as long as you've generated no more than 10 images since subscribing.

Note that a refund closes your account – if you just want to stop paying, cancel instead and keep your free account, gallery and daily credits. See the full refund & cancellation policy.

Do I need an account for the Free plan?

No. The Free plan uses a temporary session and works on a single device only. Daily credits are only guaranteed with an account, where they are tied to your balance – without one they are a courtesy, and our abuse protection may limit free generations.

Former subscribers are the exception: they keep their full account, gallery and history on the Free plan.
