Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It exists to protect real people – the subjects of photos – and to keep Photolaria safe and legal. We enforce it strictly.

Absolute prohibitions

These are zero-tolerance. Violations lead to immediate account suspension without refund, and where the law requires or permits it, a report to the relevant authorities.

  • No content involving minors. You may not upload photos of anyone under 18, and you may not create any image depicting a minor – whether by editing or generating. There are no exceptions.
  • No sexual or intimate imagery of real people. The creation or generation of nude, semi-nude, or sexually explicit imagery of any real, identifiable person is prohibited – regardless of claimed consent. Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) is prohibited in every form.
  • No deepfakes or impersonation. You may not create images intended to deceive others into believing a real person said or did something they did not, and you may not impersonate any person or organization.

You also may not

  • Upload photos of any person without their explicit consent – see the consent rules in our Terms of Service.
  • Use Photolaria for anything unlawful: fraud, harassment, threats, defamation, or the promotion of violence or discrimination.
  • Generate misleading political content or material designed to interfere with elections.
  • Probe, disrupt, or overload the service; upload malware; or attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Scrape the service or use bots or automation to bulk-generate beyond your account's intended use, or create multiple accounts or reset guest sessions to collect extra free credits.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure invisible watermarks or provenance metadata embedded in generated photos (such as SynthID), or misrepresent an AI-generated image as an authentic photograph where the law requires disclosure.
  • Use the service or generated photos in ways that violate the usage policies of the AI model providers whose models power Photolaria.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service itself (your generated photos are yours to use as your plan allows – see Terms of Service, sections 5–6).

Enforcement

  • Every generation request runs through our AI providers' automated safety systems, which block sexual, abusive, and other prohibited content at generation time. Reported content is additionally reviewed manually.
  • We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy. For absolute prohibitions, suspension is immediate and without refund.
  • Abuse of free usage (session resets, bots, bulk farming) may result in free creation being blocked for sessions, IP addresses, or IP ranges.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement on content involving minors and other criminal matters.

Reporting

If you find content generated with Photolaria that violates this policy – or that uses your likeness without consent – email [email protected]. We review every report.
