Refund & Cancellation Policy

All prices on Photolaria are in US dollars (USD). Payments are processed by Stripe.

Delivery

Photolaria is a fully digital service – nothing is shipped. Your subscription activates and credits are delivered to your account instantly after payment.

14-day money-back guarantee

Every first subscription payment comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If Photolaria isn't for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, as long as you've created no more than 30 photos since subscribing (edited and generated photos both count).

The guarantee applies once per customer, to the first payment of your first subscription.

A refund closes your account. When we refund your payment, your account is deleted together with your photos and any remaining credits – you do not keep the free account, gallery, or history that former subscribers retain after a normal cancellation. If you only want to stop paying, cancel instead: you keep your account, your gallery, your purchased credits, and your 10 free daily credits.

Renewals

Renewal payments are not refundable. Instead, you can cancel anytime – see below – and you will not be charged again.

Cancelling your subscription

You cancel yourself, anytime, from the Stripe billing portal – no emails, no questions:

  1. Open your profile – on desktop, click your avatar (the circle with your initial, top-right) and choose My profile; on mobile, tap the menu (☰, top-right) and choose My profile.
  2. In the Billing section, click Open billing portal.
  3. In the Stripe portal, choose Cancel plan (sometimes shown as "Cancel subscription") and confirm.

To change plans instead, follow the same steps and choose Update plan ("Change plan") in the Stripe portal. Upgrades apply immediately: Stripe charges a prorated amount for the rest of the current cycle, and your subscription credits are topped up in proportion to that charge (the full new allowance applies from your next renewal). Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle – you keep your current plan and its credits until then, with no mid-cycle charge, then move to the new plan at your next renewal. Plan changes affect only subscription credits – purchased and daily credits are untouched.

  • Your plan stays fully active until the end of the period you've already paid for; after that, no further charges.
  • Purchased (pack) credits are never deleted on cancellation – they remain spendable with no time limit. Buying new packs, however, requires an active subscription.

Credit packs

  • A credit pack is refundable within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been spent.
  • Once any credits from a pack are spent, the pack is non-refundable – generation costs are incurred immediately on our side when photos are created.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from your account email address and tell us which payment you'd like refunded. Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Something went wrong?

If you were charged in error, charged twice, or a technical failure on our side consumed your credits without delivering photos, contact us – we'll make it right regardless of the rules above. (Failed generations are automatically refunded in credits.)
